Global challenge

A generational cliff edge in agriculture.

A parallel crisis has unfolded in the agricultural sector: a generation of farmworkers who endured decades of physically demanding labor without adequate healthcare or pensions is now aging out of the workforce — a generational cliff edge that threatens global food supply if left unaddressed.

Farmers don’t just grow our food. They’re stewards of the soil, the water, and the resources that make agriculture resilient for the next generation. They work long hours, make tough decisions, and adapt to weather, markets, and changing conditions. Increasingly, they’re using science, technology, and real data to make their work count. Demeter is dedicated to building field robots that take on the heavy loads and repetitive tasks from farmers.

The system

AI-driven robot fleet. Built for orchards and vineyards.

Demeter's perception stack recognizes fruit precisely even when it's leaf-blocked or clustered — contour fitting, geometric filtering, and high-precision 3D localization purpose-built for orchard conditions. It runs on NVIDIA Thor edge compute for real-time perception and reasoning in the real-world field.

GROUND UNIT

Harvesting & carrier platform

A heterogeneous robotic fleet, consisting of robots with front-mounted bilateral 4-arm harvesting units, smart conveyor at the rear, and UGVs with automatic follow-behind capabilities, can achieve an industrial-scale throughput of 2,000 apples collection per hour.

AERIAL UNIT

Mapping & navigation support

An octocopter drone collects topographic data and imagery, supporting row navigation and obstacle avoidance across the block.

REMOTE CONTROL UNIT

Seamless connection

Transmits data to and from the ground units, executes pruning, harvesting, and picking tasks, with one-button operation and autonomous return-to-base.

All-Terrain Field-UGV Product Matrix

Full operation on mountains, mud, sand, ice, and snow — replacing farm ATV/LSV products in the niche markets of Europe, Australia, and the United States. By adding sensors or different implements, the platform can quickly switch from a plant phenotype-collection and inspection UGV, to an orchard-weeding UGV or a spraying UGV.

How you pay

You pay for the work the robot does.

Demeter Robotics runs as a service at a fixed price per acre per bin, with maintenance and software included. You buy no capital equipment and you staff no service team. We bring the robot and keep it running.

A typical Demeter Robotics pilot

Weeks 1–2

Site visit, mapping, configuration.

Weeks 3–4

Supervised pilot operations on your own land.

Week 5+

Full deployment. Records flow straight into your team’s dashboards.
